A bike that falls over in transport costs more than the tow. We strap to solid points like the lower triple clamp and the rear frame, compress the suspension only part-way, and pad anything that touches a strap.
If the bike went down in a crash, leave it where it is unless it is in a live lane. We right it, check for leaking fuel, and load it on the deck.
